How do I know if Physiotherapy is the right thing for me?

If you are unsure if Physiotherapy is the right thing for you, that is not a problem. You can request a telephone call with either Charlotte Lyons or Matthew Long. They can answer your questions and guide you through what Physiotherapy can offer you. 

What injuries do you treat in Physiotherapy?

We treat all neuromusculoskeletal injuries or disorders. Conditions range from head to toe. We treat conditions such as headache, migraine, temporomandibular disorders, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, back, hip, knee, ankle and foot pain. We treat nerve pain, including sciatica and cervicalgia. 

We treat mobility problems and sports injuries. We also treat dizziness conditions, including BPPV. If you are uncertain you can speak to us directly on 07446 765945

What should I wear to my Physiotherapy appointment?

Wearing loose-fitting clothes is helpful to allow the area of your body being assessed to be exposed. Wearing shorts, a t-shirt or a vest is often best. 

How do I book an  appointment for dizziness?

Matthew Long is the Specialist Physiotherapist that can assess clients with dizziness and provide treatment or refer clients that might require further medical assessments. What can I do if I cannot find an appointment time and date that suits me?

If you cannot find an appointment date or time that fits your schedule, do not worry. Often appointment times can be flexible, and Charlotte Lyons Physiotherapy can accommodate appointments on most days of the week. You can use the contact us form or e-mail: charlottelyonsphysio@gmail.com or telephone 07446 765945 to discuss your needs. 

How do I pay for my appointment?

When you book an appointment online, over the telephone, by e-mail or in person, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. The e-mail will give you the information you need to know to be able to pay when making your booking. Do not worry if you have a problem completing the payment. Other methods of payment are available. 

When do I need to pay for my appointment?

When you book an appointment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Once you receive the confirmation e-mail, you will need to make your payment to secure your booking. The e-mail will give you the information you need to know to be able to pay when making your booking. Do not worry if you have a problem completing the payment. Other methods of payment are available. 
If you do not pay for the appointment at the time of booking, you will receive a reminder. If you do not confirm the booking with payment after your reminder, your appointment date and time will not be secure until the payment is received. 

Do I need to pay extra for acupuncture?

Acupuncture may be recommended as a treatment option for you as part of your Physiotherapy treatment. Acupuncture is included in the cost of your Physiotherapy appointment. 

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or amend your appointment. Clients can reschedule their appointment with more than 24 hours notice. You will be charged in full if you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice. 

Will my insurance policy cover my Physiotherapy appointments?

Charlotte Lyons Physiotherapy is currently registered with WPA, AXA, Aviva and VitalityHealth. Please contact us and discuss if you can use your policy directly with us. We will need your customer number and claim reference to be able to invoice them directly. If you have any questions please get in touch at charlottelyonsphysio@gmail.com

Can I purchase a gift voucher?

Gift vouchers are available to purchase e-mail charlottelyonsphysio@gmail.com for further details or use our online store. They can be posted to you, a special person or collected from the clinic. Vouchers are valid for 6 months. Gift vouchers are not exchangeable for cash. 

Can I purchase items that will facilitate my rehabilitation?

Items are available to purchase from the clinic, including exercise bands, tape, gel packs, and massage wax. Typically, your Physiotherapist will recommend an item to you if they think it will help you. You can buy the items in the clinic or via our online store.
